When you want to have a good time with your friends, you generally think of going out to a bar or a club or a show. This is what is known as a “Guys/Girls Night Out” and can be a lot of fun for everyone involved. Proper planning is key to having a good time, and having a loose plan may not always work out if you run out of steam mid evening. With a few simple tips you can make sure that your outing with your friends is as much fun as you want it to be.


1. Have some sort of schedule. If you are planning on doing multiple activities you want to make sure that you have at least a general idea of what you want to do that evening. Planning on going to a sports game then drinking afterward is an example. Going out blind and expecting something to happen is not always the best idea.


2. Manage expectations. Don’t go out thinking that you are going to be able to go everywhere and do everything. Know what type of activities you are going to do and realize the time constraints you have.


3. Bring a set amount of spending money. Nothing is worse than hitting up a bar on Friday night and blowing your paycheck because you got too drunk and decided to buy everyone a round. Bring however much money you are willing to spend and leave other cash and credit cards back at home.


4. Don’t be too rigid. The whole point is to have fun, being too rigid and confied to a certain schedule is a great way to ruin a fun time. Go with the flow a bit, if you are having a blast at a certain bar, you don’t HAVE to go to see that show or to a different club. Take the evening as it comes and try to have
