What's wrong with our Country?

A lot has happened this past few months, we have the ZTE scandal, the territorial issues and now the impending rice crisis. It lead me to contemplate on what's going on with our country? Let me share you my thoughts on why we are here.

1. We have a government in denial - our government would rather choose to deny allegations
of corruption, scandals, unemployment and even looming problems like the rice shortage.
When our officials talk, as if they are reffering to another country, when they talk, I feel
I'm being insulted. Maybe they stupid or inept or just to rich to care.

2. Problems being solved by press/praise release - no actual action was taken, only photo
ops sugar coating the issue.

3. Rampant graft and corruption - Do I need to elaborate? In our country, when a person
steals 200 pesos or steals a cellphone, we call him "magnanakaw" but if a person steals
200 million pesos and smuggles container loads of cellphone, we call him "honorable".
How ironic, a nation being lead by crooks.

4. We have a very influential church that has a twisted concept of truth and justice, or
perhaps influenced by "donations" and tax-free perks?

5. Too much hatred in this country, we hate the Spaniards for what they did 200 years ago,
we hate the Japanese for what they did 60 years ago, we continue to hate the Americans
we continue to hate Marcos for what he did 30 years ago, we eventually hate ourselves
for the mess we're into. I wish we could let go of the hatred so we can move on.

6. The "Paano Naman Kami" Syndrome, just look at the people on the streets, they just think
only of themselves, much more people in higher places and people in key positions. They
just think of themselves and ceased to think about the welfare of other people. Basic
courtesy and consideration for others seems like a thing of the past.

7. We have media organizations who hype the bad news and forget the good news for the
sake of "ratings", one reason why we seem to be hopeless.

ang problema sa ating country eh ang mga taong GANID...at mga taong SALAULA...kahit saan tapon ng tapon....yun lang po hehe

hay sinabi mo pa bart lahat ng point mo totoo wala ka nung eb ng kp sayang...
